J.P. Wiser's was first produced in Canada in 1857 making it the longest continuously produced Canadian Whisky. After the death of its founder John Wiser in 1911 the brand was acquired by Corby's and then again by Hiram Walker in 1935. At that point the production was moved to Corbyville, Ontario where it stayed until the Corbyville distillery closed in 1989 in favor of the Hiram Walker distillery in Windsor, Ontario.
Throughout this time the Wiser's brand never lost its reputation for crafting beautifully wrought, aged whiskies, ones that never scrimped on barrel time, and this bottle is the proof in that pudding. This whisky was bottled at 18 years old in 1967.
