The oldest surviving commercial rum distillery in the world, with history dating back to 1703.  A Barbados-based subsidiary of the French multinational, Rémy Cointreau, which manages the production and marketing of the Mount Gay rum brand at its distillery in Saint Lucy.  It was originally established by Aubrey Fitzosbert Ward and John Hutson in 1926; Rémy Cointreau acquired it from the Ward family in 2014.  It produces mostly single blended rums on a combination of pot and column stills.

The label of this bottle of Mount Gay Rum has seen better days, but the rum doesn't mind.
