Linie Aquavit is a potato-based Norwegian spirit.  It is rich and complex, noting a number of spices in its profile.  However, caraway comes through as the dominant spice.  Each and every drop is sent on a sea voyage across the globe to be matured at sea in old sherry oak casks under extremely varying weather conditions.

This particular bottle was carried on board Wilh. Wilhelmsen's M/S "Tampa" around the world and crossed the Equator (or, "Linie") twice.  It departed on 19.08.1996 and returned on 31.12.1996

This individual process of maturation and wonderful tradition makes for a unique spirit.  The constant rolling of the casks through changes in humidity and temperature contribute to the remarkable qualities of this spirit.
