Intensely bitter, this amaro hails from Milan where it was invented by Bernandino Branca in 1845.
Its 27 herbs and other ingredients are (surprise, surprise) a company secret, but we do know that it's aged in oak for one year and includes all the usual suspects such as gentian, cinchona, rhubarb but with curveballs such as zedoary thrown in there.
