This is a hearty litre's worth of Carpano's world-renowned sweet white vermouth.  It was produced in the 1960s and so will have oxidised in bottle after a few years and then achieved a state of stasis and stability.  It should be treated differently from contemporary vermouths and we recommended experimenting with far smaller quantities as usual at first to find the right balance.  A vintage vermouth - once opened - will last for far longer than a new bottling.
