A bottle and a half of Otard Cognac bottled for Hall, Cutlack and Harlock Ltd., foretell Brewery, Foretell, Ely, Cambridgeshire!
Cutlack & Harlock Ltd was the result of a merger in June 1907 of William Cutlack of Littleport and Frank Harlock of the Quay Brewery, Ely. Brewing continued at Harlock's brewery until 1930. In September 1930, Cutlack & Harlock merged with Arthur & Bertram Hall Ltd of Forehill Brewery, Ely, to form Hall, Cutlack & Harlock Ltd. In addition to the brewing and malting, attention must be called to the very extensive wine and spirit business carried on, and to the very fine quality supplied.
The thickness and weight of this glass is to be appreciated and has kept this Cognac in superb condition!
