This rum was specially blended by Matthew Brown of Blackburn to Commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II (1952-77).  As explained in the newspaper clipping below, this bottle (# 607 of 3500) was part of a first release of 100 bottles that left Lion Brewery with a spelling mistake on the front label:  Commemorate is mis-spelled as Commemerate.  The label on the other 3400 bottles in the release were changed post-haste before they could be sent out!  How embarrassing!  A chance to own a pice of history relating to the late Monarch -- and bottled at 100 proof, what could be better!?
