High place of pilgrimage, Roc-Amadour has seen the passage of many kings of France, and illustrious people from Europe. Even today many pilgrims and tourists flock to see the black Madonna and entrust her with their prayers. It is also a place of legend with the famous Durandal, the legendary sword of the knight Roland planted in the rock above the chapel.

The Roc-Amadour liqueur is therefore a tribute that the Denoix family pays to this magnificent site, inspired by the plants and junipers that populate the plateaus of the Causse.
