A bottle of Courvoisier Succession JL Très Rare Grande Champagne Cognac.
Courvoisier acquired a rare Cognac from a single vintage from a single vineyard in a lot of 21 demi-johns from the family of one of the company’s winegrowers in Jarnac, in the heart of the Cognac region. Distilled in the early 1900s, the cognac had been passed down through generations of the family, identified only by the initials J.L. Once transferred it was drawn from the demi-johns resting in Courvoisier's Paradis cellar and bottled without reduction. This very special, limited edition was strictly limited to just 595 bottles & released in 1991. Each bottle is hand-numbered and housed in a lockable wooden presentation case, and the bottle is sealed with an 18-karat gold medallion. It comes with a Certificate of Appraisal dated 3 October 1989 and a Bailiff's Affadavit dated 30 May 1991.
This is bottle number 115 of 595.
