The 1972 Chartreuse V.E.P. is a highly coveted, ultra-rare vintage of the famous herbal liqueur produced by Carthusian monks. V.E.P. stands for Vieillissement Exceptionnellement Prolongé (Exceptionally Prolonged Ageing), a premium designation introduced in 1963. These expressions are crafted using the exact same secret blend of 130 botanicals as standard Chartreuse but are aged for a minimum of 10 to 15 years in oak half-hogsheads.
