A bottle of Kentucky Straight Bourbon, distilled by the Sazerac company at their Barton 1792 distillery.

The Barton 1792 distillery is one of Kentucky's oldest, having also been called simply Barton, and Thomas Moore over the years after the founding prior distillery Mattingly & Moore. The site was badly damaged in 2018 when both halves of one of its main warehouses collapsed in the same month, ensuring a likely shortage to come.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Dried oak, maple syrup, burnt sugar and a whiff of nutmeg.

Palate: Burnt sugar again, with a touch of smoke in tow. Toffee pennies and spiced oak.

Finish: Lasting warmth of cinnamon and flaky pastry.
