Distilled in the early 1900s, the cognac had been passed down through generations of the family, identified only by the initials J.L.  Once transferred i\u003c\/span\u003et was drawn from the demi-johns resting in Courvoisier's Paradis cellar and bottled without reduction.  This \u003cspan\u003every special, limited edition was strictly limited to just 595 bottles \u0026amp; released in 1991.  Each bottle is hand-numbered and housed in a lockable wooden presentation \u003c\/span\u003ecase, and the bottle is sealed with an 18-karat gold medallion.
