Cynar is a classic Italian Amaro bitter liqueur which is made up from 13 different herbs and plants. The main ingredient in the recipe is Artichoke (Italian: Cynara scolymus) which gives the drink its name and distinctive dark-brown colour. The drink was launched in 1952 and today is owned and manufactured by the Campari Group.  This bottle was manufactured for the 50th anniversary of the drink c. 2002.
