Francesco Drioli (b. 1738) established the Drioli liquor company in 1759.  They are most famous for their Maraschino and other cherry liqueurs and brandies made from cherries gown on the Dalmatian coast.  In this case they chose to house their cherry brandy in a dark green Venetian glass bottle decorated in silver with scenes of the Lagoon.  Although tarnished, the decoration is in excellent condition and the accompanying glass stopper for the decanter in retained.  A rare and beautiful survivor with delicious contents intact!
