A late-1960s to early-1970s bottling of Plymouth Dry Gin, made by Coates & Co. (Plymouth) Ltd. for export to the Italian market.  As a Protected Geographical Indication, Plymouth Gin can only be made in Plymouth, Devon and this particular gin features on its label the eponymous friar of the Black Friars Distillery where this gin was - and continues to be - produced.

Harry Craddock's famous 1930 Savoy Cocktail Book lists Plymouth Gin specifically in 23 cocktail recipes, and whilst this bottle's reverse label is not in immaculate condition, four classic cocktail recipes can be read for the Tom Collins, Singapore Sling, Orange Blossom and the White Lady.  All in Italian, of course...
